This is a beautiful temple. Whenever I go on Sarjapur Road flyover in Bengaluru, I see this temple. It looks huge and magnificent. I always wanted to visit. Finally one afternoon I visited the temple. It is located in a very busy area, but when you go inside it is a very peaceful environment. You feel very calm and relaxed. It is built just few years ago, opened in 2015 and located at Agara Village, 1st Sector of HSR Layout.
Temple isn’t that huge as it looks when you are driving by. But a beautiful temple and maintained well. I believe it is a small replica of the Jagannath Temple at Puri. It is dedicated to Hindu God Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra, and sister Subhadra. All three deities are prominently placed in it’s Garbhagrha.
While driving by in the area you would have seen a huge Hanuman Statue as well. This is right outside the Jagannath temple. There is a Durga temple and a huge Hanuman Statue. You can just cross the road and visit these as well.
If you like visiting quiet temple and enjoy the peaceful environment or like the temple architectures built of sandstone, soapstone or granite etc, this temple should be in your list to visit sometime.
Here is a small video I recorded when I visited in September 2018. Enjoy!
